    Singer/Songwriter Samantha Shelton

    DAILY CANDY – October 7, 2009

    VIDEO LINK

You’ve always fancied yourself an old-fashioned gal (two dates before nooky, of course).

So get ready to heart singer/songwriter/actress Samantha Shelton, a Los Angeles-based beauty with a classy, old-timey voice that’ll make you, well, just plain happy.

In today’s video, Shelton croons with a song called “Maybe” from her latest EP, Cranky Moon. If her voice sounds familiar, it’s ’cause she was recently featured on the Inglourious Basterds soundtrack (Quentin Tarantino personally commissioned a song) and, until recently, cofronted a cabaret show with Zooey Deschanel.

We think her songs are poised to become a must-have for dinner parties, girly celebrations — and maybe even make-out sessions.
Only if he buys you dinner.

  • EAGLE EAR ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES
    LAUNCH OF EAGLEEAR.COM WEBSITE

    Website will feature company information
and blogs about all things music

    LOS ANGELES – September 2, 2008

Eagle Ear Entertainment, a musical platform for network friendly entertainment, today announced the launch of eagleear.com. Founded by sisters Jennifer Eitel Young and Stephanie Eitel Farrar, Eagle Ear Entertainment will showcase popular culture and inspiring musical content in several different forms including television, internet, a record label, gaming and publishing. The dynamic duo, Jennifer and Stephanie, are the creative force behind the wheel of Eagle Ear Entertainment.

“Partnering with my sister, Stephanie, in forming Eagle Ear Entertainment has been one the most fun, creative and challenging experiences in my life,” said Young. “I am excited to share our enthusiasm and vision with the world--to celebrate and honor the best of unknown music talent.”

The sisters, along with other members of the Eagle Ear Entertainment team, are also debuting their blogs, which will serve as inner dialogs about all things music. These weekly blogs are intended to stimulate conversation about current music topics and alert others to current trends in the industry. It will also provide a place for music lovers to share their opinions about music whether it be past, present or future.

In addition to the website launch, the Eagle Ear team is currently working on a script for a network TV pilot that will feature a parallel web strategy. The website will serve as the launching pad for undiscovered artists to showcase their talent online.

“It's like every musical experience dating back to singing ‘Grease’ covers on the opposite end of the same jump rope with my big sis, from Glee Club to Agent Sparks and singing with Weezer, have set the stage for this moment,” said Farrar. “Together, with that same big sis as a partner, we have started a company where our goal is to find and promote the best of the unknown and to showcase music from our own catalogues.”

Both Stephanie and Jennifer are working on their solo albums and will release them on the Eagle Ear Entertainment label in the fall. The name of the TV show and connecting website will be announced in the coming months.

“Even though every mental compass has led me a different direction, somehow I've found my way back home to family. And nothing could be more special,” concludes Farrar. Visitors are encouraged to go to HYPERLINK "http://www.eagleear.com" eagleear.com to check out the blogs and contribute their own insights about music and its influence on their lives.
